Play Dough Time

I was inspired by my sister-in-law Juliette and decided to make playdough for the boys. They had a blast and loved watching me make it and then playing with it.

Here is the recipe:

Homemade play dough

1 cup water
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 T. oil

Combine all in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat,stirring constantly until mixture clings together. The dough should lose it's shine. Dump onto the counter, knead as it cools. If you want to add color, you can add several drops of food color when you add the water or after the dough is cooked, divide into a few balls and put a dropor two of different colors on each ball.. knead the color inot the dough. Keep in thightly lidded container.
